The Printing Presses department:

(i) Plays the role of chief advisor to the Director General on the Institute’s printing activities;

(ii) Heads the Institutes’ Printing Presses;

(iii) Coordinates Printing activities of all the Presses;

(iv) Conducts research in printing activities and advises on printing technology developments;

(v) Oversees safety and security in the Printing Unit and enforces compliance to industrial safety rules;

(vi) Advises on the quality of work, performance improvement, and product standards;

(vii) Develops training programmes for printing staff;

(viii) Prepares action plans and budgets for the printing Unit;

(ix) Manages both human and financial resources for efficient and effective functioning of the Unit;

(x) Recommends in-service training programmes to staff in the department.
