The Educational and Instructional Technology Department:

(i) Designs and integrates use of ICT in teaching and learning process;

(ii) Coordinates the proper use of ICT in the education system for Pre – Primary, Primary, Secondary and Teacher Education;

(iii) Designs and develops e-learning programmes at Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary and Teacher Education in Tanzania;

(iv) Coordinates all activities related to ICT for Education at the Institute;

(v) Coordinates the evaluation of electronic contents at Pre – Primary, Primary, Secondary and Teacher Education in Tanzania;

(vi) Advises the Deputy Director General and other staff of the institute in relation to correct use of ICT in academic undertakings;

(vii) Recommends in-service training programmes to staff within the Department.
